This series consists of letters received and copies of letters sent by the Superintendent of the Pierre Indian School relating to NYA sewing room activities. The correspondence, including Monthly Sewing Room Summary Sheets, chiefly concerns the production of garments for the school by NYA sewing rooms at Lebanon, Timber Lake, and White Lake, South Dakota. The letters generally include requests for finished goods, requisitions for supplies of cloth, reports of monthly productions, shipment records, and inquiries exchanged by the superintendent, sewing room supervisors, and NYA district and state officials.
